Finally recovered a slug after launching it from my new power tuned cricket ll .25 after squirrel hunting this weekend. They are absolute laser beams from my cricket and devastating to anything they hit at 55 ft lbs. Most of the time they blow through both sides of my target animal so I was shocked to find this one under the hide at the base of a grey squirrel skull. Happy I did because I was visualizing them performing much differently in my head. Will continue using them because they work extremely well for me but thought I’d share here so that anyone wondering would/could use the info to decide if they like what they see. I can share a picture of a fox squirrel and what the aftermath was after taking one to the back of his head but didn’t know if that was ok outside of the hunting forum. So far I’ve got around 25 headshots with the cricket using hybrid slugs and can share them all. Send a message if you would like to see real world results in live game and I’ll send you the pictures.

Don’t have time for the range until after hunting season so no 100 yard groups yet but will be doing plenty of testing with lots of projectiles starting first of March. The most I can pull off at my house safely is 88 yards. I tried a few different pellets and slugs and this was before adding the bipod. I think I will be able to keep them around an inch once I drop the heavy coat and can feel my fingers while shooting. One group at 88 yards before bipod and another at 50 yards after bipod and the final is a normal group at 35. She’s a keeper for sure!
