FX hybrid slugs .25

Hey Tigerhunter, what are you using to lube yer pellets/slugs?

As for the FX Hybrid .25

There is a lot of interesting opinions about FX and their marketing tactics. I gotta be honest, I agree with some, that being said, I have shot the FX Hybrids out of my Dreamline, about 200 rounds so far and Im not impressed. It has been my experience that 905 fps was the sweet spot for me but even then the groups were terribly at 50 yards. Anything faster than that would through my accuracy off. And the accuracy is only "okay" to begin with. I got them to shoot 5 rounds literally through the same hole at 25 yards, then I shot a 5 shot group of pred polymags without adjusting anything on the rifle, go back to the FX Hybrids and the groups at 25 yards were 1" wide. Maybe my barrel needs a clean?

It also appeared to me that the slugs wern't the greatest fit and finish, they seemed loose when chambering and there were too many fliers IMO.

I plan to swap the pellet liner to the slug liner and trey the other 150 slugs I have left. we will see what happens.

Here is a picture of my group and accuracy test at 50 yards, 905fps out of my Dreamline w/ pellet liner. I was on a bench, very stable and steady.

MY GOD ..... those shots are terrifying👀
On Thursday I get several boxes of the Hybrid. 25 and I am beginning to be afraid ... if it is true that I have boosted my Dreamline tac and I will be able to shoot the hybrids at 1000fps, which according to what they say works well between 940fps and 1000fps.
At the moment I have tested the King Heavy MKII at 940fps and very very well with the stx liner pellet and according to see the results of me and other colleagues with the new standard top liner .... I will buy or not
I'll tell you😃

Very angry with the FX company advertising. They said that these hybrids would work with any pellet liner, not fantastic but fine and it's a lie .... I shot with different pressures and speeds 120bar to 150bar and speeds of 889fps at 1020fps + - and the best result at 71 yards is a group of 1.6 inches.😡
What a disappointment ..... now my question is whether to buy the top liner or wait for the other Heavy top liner ????? 😬

I got mine, shooting them 930 fps from Taipan vet long, very accurate.

Also running them from my Impact Mk2, also very accurate about 940 fps. Feed perfect out of the mags.

Haven't tested on a varmint, but I put one through a grapefruit at 50 yrds. Expansion was very impressive... still pic at moment of impact.

It's been a while since this conversation about the FX Hybrids was going strong...... specifically you hadn't tested on a small game yet. Did you continue having success with the hybrids or have you scrapped them for something different? I love the idea of shooting slugs for their higher BC, but for hunting, I want something to really expand. In my experiences, the slugs have great penetration but tend to punch through small game rather than expand upon impact. Which is why I've been drawn to the hybrids. Still working to get them shooting like I want (may never get there based on others' comments) but just curious about those who have been successful with them. Thanks
