FX Gladiator Verminator Revolution copper pipe removal - need help

I am trying to get access to the hammer spring on my FX gladiator mk2.

I fail to remove the copper pipe which link front and rear bottles. I tried to heat (a little at this time) the black nut on the front of the block but it does not move.

If anyone has already done this job I would be more than happy to get the solution.

Many thanks in advance.

you need a long wrench on nut 1 to prevent it from moving while you trying to loosen nut 2.

if you are just trying to loosen only nut 2 it my only loosen nut 1 while doing so, then the brass washer and tubing are still being tightened by both nuts so it will rotate with the nuts then you will bend the copper tubing.

the breech block has to be on a wooden vice, if never removed before---they are on really tight.

No Loctite, there are 2 orings on the brass piece so don't be heating it to hot to expand the nut. You can chill shock the nut by hitting the end of the wrench with a small hammer but you need a wrench on nut 1 to prevent it from turning. Had to do that one time, those nuts don't have to be that tight when reassemble, when those 3 piece are metal to metal the Oring will do the rest in sealing the joint.

Last question for you Sniperlabyo.

I have setted the HST at its best for my reg setting (130 bar which give me around 47ft/lb). Next step is to increase the reg pressure (slowly) and adjust HST.

I remember that you mentioned in one of your video not to go above 160 bar on the reg correct?

What would be the reg setting (approximately) to achieve 60 ft/lb ? 140 bar?

My plan is to fire the king Heavy mk2 around 900fps if possible without hurting my glad (which require around 60ft/lb).

Again many thanks for your help.

Your hammer spring is limited or not strong enough to open a higher reg pressure--last time I check it was near 160b the other problem is it doesn't have enough regulated air volume chamber to reach your goal.

the 9mm cricket has the largest reg chamber -- the air tube come in 3 parts and over 1/4 of the air tube holds the regulated air.

on the bobcat it has a small reg chamber in the action.

I understand the plenum volume is the key point.

So 60ft/lb is not achievable but from your own experience what should i expect in terms of max power? The fx glad has the same block as the fx royal 500.

I am surprised about the 9mm cricket regulated air volume being so important. The power seems a bit low from what i have seen (115 ft/lbs to fire a 9mm pellet). Maybe it can be tubed up?

I have set reg pressure to 160bar and increased HST.

I reach 978 fps with king exact. I am gonna try tomorrow with king heavy.

I had not anticipated the shot count to drop so fast..... Out of the box I could get 120 shots (reg pressure at 130bars) and now I will probably get around 50 shots only :/

I am waiting my testing with heavies and I will probably lower a bit the reg pressure to increase shot count.

Anyway many thanks for your help Sniperlabyo. Your viedos helped me a lot also. Continue the very nice job my friends.
