fx gladiator mk2 .22 vs fx royale 400

I won't be much help as I've never seen a gladiator but I do have a Royale 400.
i have pop bottles aprox 20 oz and a 1qt oil bottle hanging In a tree at 103 yd. when the wind is still or very predictable, I can hit the pop bottles about 3 out of 4 times. I have hit them 10 for 10 but 3 of 4 is about normal. This is shooting off of a bench in my house.
needless to say on bad days I've done more like 1 of 4, I also have Royale 500 and I like um both.
happy hunting

I eared that the gladiator mk2 .22 and the royale 400 are pratically the same in terms of the hole "mecanism" (trigger, action, breech, cocking systeme and barrel) so i think both of these guns will deliver about the same accuracy. As much as i like the royale 400 i think i'll go with the gladiator because of the 80-100+ shots it gives you on high power (35fpe). Anyways both of these guns a made by fx so you know it's gonna be all about quality and accuracy.

I don't think anybody had heard of pcps when I was 17! I believe you will like your fx.
Best advice I can think of rite now is don't believe that you never need to clean a smooth twist barrel. For hunting, I don't know. I shoot mostly off a bench. Mine started shooting noticeably better after about 1500 pellets. I clean mine about every 100 shots . I shoot in 30 yd bench rest matches on gta. I always clean before the match.

Alex,
If you will be using a pump to fill the rifle you may want to look at rifles that fill to only 3,000 PSI. It may take forever to pump the Gladiator up. You may want to look at the Air Arms or BSA rifles. Look at Matt Dubbers video's. Check out all the reviews of the Marauder, another gun that fills to under 3000 PSI. I know you are young so you can pump, but it might take the fun out of it for you having to pump rifles with a large reservoir that fill to 3,500 PSI.
