FX GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!

The cocking lever and linkage broke on my Dreamline compact, so I needed 4 parts. I know it’s the holidays so I called on Jan 5 ( put order in over the weekend, holidays I know) so on Jan 5 I called and talked to Melissa great gal, I asked if the parts I ordered and paid for the day before were in stock she put me on hold then said yes they were in stock. I asked if they would ship today the 5th she said well they ship in 7-10 business days, are f****** kidding me!?!? There in stock but I have to wait a week or so for my parts. JOKE LAST FX I get. As soon as Air Force comes out with a repeater and hopefully new chassis design I’m gone. #pissed

Most likely the parts have been sent out, but as a rule we try to under promise and over perform. The current 7-10 day window allows for part order flow and restocks (as we're getting part restocks with our shipments from Sweden every two weeks and in general there's restocking going on from a busy end of year). I'm sure you'll have your parts soon, hang in there!

I live 200 miles from FX USA and literally get parts delivered faster from the UK and sent through standard mail. I know the forum owner will be angry with me for saying so but the truth is the truth. This is the only problem I have with FX USA and hasn't improved in the last two years.

@ FX USA Do you still only ship customer part orders 1 day per week ?

We ship parts order almost every day. Most part orders only take a couple of days to get out, unless a part is on backorder from Sweden (which with explosive growth has been happening a lot recently, though that gap is closing).

I'm glad you're making improvements. When did you change the "only ship on Wednesday" policy?

Have you considered putting retail parts in Amazon.com so that customers can get rapid replacements? I think this would greatly improve customer satisfaction and move you ahead of the competition in that respect.

Congratulations on the success and rapid growth of FX.

Heavy,

I can feel for you and understand because I use to feel the same way and had a lot of heart burn with their shipping practices but have since gave them a break after visiting with the good folks there. They made me realize they aren't in the same category as Amazon, Optics Planet, Trenier, or even NSA which are first class at getting the stuff in the mail. These companies are strictly in the business of selling an item and getting it out to you as fast as possible compared to FX who really is/was just a "service center" firstly and as a bonus sells us the spare parts. Even some of the strictly retail business's we associate with are pretty lame at times. I've been just as aggravated at PA for their shipping practices and service. Just thought I'd share my thoughts on what your going through, cause I've been there as well.

To be honest, when it comes to working with FX actually most Air Guns were lucky in the US there is a "Service Center" and were not having to call the overseas company to get specific little parts. And they most of the time are "under promising" they'll say 7-10 days (which I got the same when ordering some replacement parts for my crown) but received my items in wayyyyy less time.. A week isn't that bad of a time when you think about having to call Hatsan LOL (I've read some of the horror stories). Also, their technicians being readily available is a godsend. I've had so much trouble trying to tinker with these between the master class' and being able to call in during the week its been amazing repairing some of these guns and saving TONS of money being able to do it myself.

And Airguns isn't the worst, Like Jking was saying its not the same league persay. I just sent in my fitbit to their HQ in CALIFORNIA and it took them 3 weeks plus a week of back and forth just to figure out what address they were going to send it to. They didn't even ask me to fill anything out until a week and a half later for the replacement address. (the only reason they asked was cause I sent it in and was like oh wait I never filled anything out I should ask them if they need my address or just going to send it back via the address on the package I sent in.)

I really dislike having to call and talk to a person to get parts. This is unnecessarily complicated and much slower than need be. I will never understand or agree that I am lucky or a company is doing me any sort of favor by selling me parts for their product. I paid a high price for the product and I order parts for the speed and convenience of making repairs myself. If I can order FX parts online from the UK and get them fast then why can't I do the same and get them from the USA faster? Is see the commitment to sales but not to customer service and I see no way to rationalize it.

Its probably good for the majority of people ( not all) and limits the number of returns for people to talk to the technicians to make sure they are actually ordering the correct parts.

So you're saying they do it that way because most Americans are less intelligent or less competent than the people in countries with a modern online FX parts store?

Speak for yourself, I'm not in that group.

You don't have to call to get parts....

All you need to do is email them. [email protected]. I've been doing this for well over a year now, and always had excellent response. Here's the method I use:

E-mail them and let them know you request an INVOICE for repair parts. Then list from the FX drawings online what you want.

I normallly list the gun (i.e, .25 FX Impact X Mk1), and the serial number for the gun (xxxxxxx). Then I list the drawing item number (i.e., B28), part number (i.e., 7064), and description (i.e., valvepin Impact complete).

Send the e-mail. Within a day or two (usually in a day) you'll receive an email with an invoice and price, plus a link to pay for the order. You click the link, pay the order, and FX will then ship your parts in a couple of days. I've had them shipped the next day and also in 3 or 4 days. They usually ship by an expeditions method.

This way there is no waiting on the phone, or confusion over whiuch part you are ordering. They have the drawings for all of their guns online. Easy day~!

Truth Heavy!!! I’ve gotten stuff from Huma(Netherlands) in like 5 days!!! I couldn’t believe it!! I live just north of Detroit Michigan that’s a long ways. Well still no parts and just a pre ship detail which I got from FX on Monday hasn’t gone any where and supposed to be in stock parts. Thanks FX!! #justwantmygunbacktogether

First of all I said not everyone... literally in the text. But it is helpful for less experienced airgunners when it comes to ensuring you are getting the exact parts you need. So no need to get so sensitive.

This is exactly how I do it. Between Mellisa, Summer and before them, Newman, I’d have an invoice the next day after I send that parts request email.

Call me crazy, but before investing in an FX platform I do all my reading and find out what the typical fail parts are, and in one fell swoop I’ll buy at least two of this parts to keep in my parts box for that gun. That way if the part does fail during a shooting session, I already have the part to fix it. Typically these parts are valve seats, valve stems, and trigger sears
