Working on a field target gun.  ACZ makes a field trial stock for the Dreamline and the Royale. Which gun is better for field trial and why?  For purposes of the discussion, assume they are both the same price.  The Royal would be  used the dreamline new.

Thanks for the reasoned opinions in advance.

No sure what you are referring to by Field Trial. Are you talking about Field Target?

Obviously new. Got it confused with dog terms. Here is the link to the stock. https://utahairguns.com/acz-hunter-chassis-only-dreamline-streamline/#product-description

Here is the FX webpage for what you are considering. https://fxairguns.com/rifles/dreamline-field-target/

However, I think the Royale would be the better choice as I haven't seen a .177 FX Dreamline barrel with the accuracy needed for FT. At least in 12FPE for WFTF class FT.

Here is an article by a Brit that used a Streamline and the ACZ stock for WFTF Field Target. https://sureshot-airguns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/ACZ-Streamline-Review-1.pdf

    Hope this helps.

If you embark on the project based on the Royale, Please post details. I am interested in doing the same if budget permits.

I have one of these stocks on my AA S400 MPR FT.  It is made by Aeron.  Very solid and well built.  My only complaint is that the T-slot for attaching hamsters, etc. under the forearm will NOT accept accessories that are standard Anschutz size.  The depth of the T-slot is too thin.  In my case, I actually mounted a standard Anschutz style rail to the bottom of the fore-end so I can use my Rowan knee riser.

I've been using the Aeron FT stock on my FX400 for about 5 years now in Field Target. No complaints.

I've been trying to see if Utah Airguns can get me another stock for another FX400 I own. If not I'm going to build my own copy.

Utah Airguns Update, I got an email from Thad that they cannot get the Aeron FT stock for the FX400. So I guess this means I'm going to move forward on my own version.
