FX Crown100yd accuracy Part 5- LIGHT WIND

I shot some more "scoring" targets in a light wind 0 to 5 mainly from behind switching from left to right using the same setup on my Crown(see previous posts) using JSB 18g. Even this slight breeze was moving the pellets around pretty good. These first 2 targets were pretty poor. I made some errors rushing back and forth to the sighters- Lost my place and shot at a target twice(missed both times, one shot hit a target I already shot), used the wrong holdover hash and hit the target above it(I know, I know, ALWAYS zero the gun to the distance you are shooting, but it had shot so well in previous testing that I was afraid to touch it), etc...

The wind started to lay down and calm out. I zeroed the scope to 100yards(so I wouldn't have to use holdover). I remembered advice from Centercut to not take too many shots in a row unless I was sure, and advice(?) from YO! that maybe I should wait and shoot on a calmer day, and I shot this target:

Scored pretty good, but these were dead calm conditions. Some shots were not exactly where I thought they should be, so I decided to shoot some groups at 50 and 100 yards again. 50 was ok, but 100 yard group was a little open(may be time to clean the barrel?). Then, since I had re-zeroed for 100 yards, I figured I might might have enough holdover hash marks to hit at 150 yards. I took the target out to the 150 yard stand, checked Strelock Pro(5 mils of holdover) and fired a few shots(not having shot targets with this setup at 150 yards before). This is the target:

Thanks for your comments and experiences. It is nice to have perspective. I don't have years of experience shooting different gun/pellet combinations or competition benchrest. I believe that the experiences in my life that I ULTIMATE CONFIDENCE in, I have gained by making it happen myself or witnessing in person. For example, I bought a 700MM slug liner for my Crown Continuum to get good(1.5"ctc) 100 yard accuracy from slugs and heavy pellets(RDs) because I saw it on a video. In my actual experience, I was unable to achieve anything close to that. Who knows why. I am not bitter or blaming anyone; that is just MY experience(probably different for everyone). However, I have demonstrated the 700mm slug A liner, which I received, to be very accurate with 18g(only couple of times, at my home range, in ideal conditions) with a "low power"(~874 fps) setup. Now I hear FX has just released a new SUPERIOR HEAVY 700mm slug liner to shoot heavier pellets and slugs more accurately. Go figure.

Although I did not achieve my goal of finding a barrel to accurately shoot a heavy projectile with a higher BC, I did discover(thru trial an error, and advice from forum members) a way of getting good accuracy out of what I have(gun setup, barrel, pellets, etc.). I hope this may encourage some to experiment and share their experiences. Thanks again for your input.
