I wonder why the 700mm is called a "sniper" version? The extra 100mm length (about 4 inches) should not be a major factor in improving accuracy. I assume the barrel thickness is not significantly (if by any) more. 10-15 fps higher velocity is a given but again, that's not related directly to accuracy unless the velocity was previously lacking for a particular pellet. One thing it may help with is: the shooter. Longer barrels are easier to aim and keep on the target. What am I missing? What is the history/demand behind the 700mm?
So, if there are no discernable advantages to the 700mm vs 600mm, then the smart thing would be IMHO to get the standard 600mm X-twist barrel/liner that way I can swap it out from my Impact to a (future) Crown and vice versa. Also, I would assume that in the future the liners for the 600mm versions (with various twist rates, etc) would be more available for purchase vs. the 700mm barrel version.
