Thanks, and yes. Just remove the 4 allen screws on either side and it slides right off. I also removed the adjustable butt plate(un-do 1 wheel screw and it pops off) and the top cap which covers the back of the bolt. And I removed the bag rider(2 allen screws). Removing ALL that stuff REALLY lightened it up to the point where it felt good like a true compact gun in the hands. I added a butt plate that I had off an old shotgun. Fit well with just a little offset lower, but there are probably many options for adding a buttplate if needed.
