FX Crown Slug liners are they available in Canada?

I've been waiting for what seems like a long time, but now I hear FX has finally finished a bunch of different liners, are we Canadians going to see any of them? Has anyone got lucky and received one of the new slug liners? Any info on them? Like twist rate and recommend slug weights? I was looking to get a .25 cal. 600mm lg slug liner.

Far as I know 25 caliber are not out yet I have one on order myself. Recently I checked and none of the major vendors have them but they all claim to have them on order. My guess is they are still waiting for Matt in South Africa to finish testing them then hopefully they will then figure out what needs to be in the supply line. Since there has been such a delay between the 22 barrels release and the 25s I can only assume a 22 design did not perform well enough in 25 or it should of already been released. This is all speculation on my part. In the few years I’ve been fascinated by air rifles one thing I’ve seen for sure is the manufacturers are not fast movers in getting new products and ideas to market. Hopefully independent companies will begin to make some first class accessories for our guns since the gun manufacturers seem to be in no rush. What a way to run a business.

in Canada the release of the 25 barrels should be about the same time wise as the US but I am not familiar with Canadian laws that may slow it down

The 25 caliber slug liners have shipped and are already in the hands of some of us.

Hey Bob...

For the uneducated among us...can you define what makes a barrel a "slug liner"?

Is it the special twist rate of the rifling, plus a longer barrel....inquiring minds want to know how they differ from the OEM LW barrels we so often get with our guns.

I don't know anything about the supply of liners to Canada, their laws, what's going on up there or if they will even be available. Like Bob O. said though, people in the USA have been receiving their .25 caliber liners. Matt Dubber was in Sweden and testing on the .25 cal. slug liners was finished 4-5 weeks ago. Production started very shortly after testing concluded. About a week after production on the .25 cal. liners began, the first shipment was sent from Sweden to the USA. FX USA began shipping the liners to the retailers within a week of receiving them here in the USA. Since Matt arrived and testing began on the .25 caliber liners, the process of getting them made and shipped out has been extremely fast, especially when you think of all the stuff FX has going on right now! I got my slug liner in .25 caliber on Tuesday, some others got theirs the previous week. The retailers are mainly filling pre-orders right now. I have my liner and a bunch of slugs ready to go, planned on doing some testing and posting the results for those interested. Unfortunately, my father has had Alzheimer's for 9 years and last Fri. his health deteriorated to a point of no return. My family and I have been at his bedside since last Friday, so the testing will have to wait a couple more days. I'll share what I learn about velocity, accuracy and slug selection with you all in a couple more days. I was told from FX that the .25 cal. liners were designed for the lighter slugs. I have 9 different slugs from 4 makers, ranging in weight from 25.4gr through 45gr. so I'll let you know.
