FX Crown magazine

I have not seen this mentioned before, and maybe I'm trying to do something that isn't possible, but I have been trying to fill up a Crown magazine that had only been partially emptied when I removed it from my rifle. The only way I have figured out to fill the magazine is by emptying all the remaining pellets and start with an empty magazine. Is this the only way to refill the magazine?

This is why I like single shot rifles! Seriously, I am the recent purchaser of a Crown, my first FX rifle. There are a few things about the rifle that are, to me, disappointing, and the magazine design is one. Really, why in hell design it so you flip it over and load the first one backwards? Now, when I pick up my RAW or Daystate Regal, I have to remember how to load it. No problem with the Steyr, it only holds one, so just push it in and shoot, fits my simple-mindedness perfectly. As I spend time with the Crown, my initial assumption is becoming reality. FX loads a ton of features in the Crown, the good news. Those features rely on the performance of a lot of parts, not usually the recipe for precision accuracy, the bad news. When you have a barrel (in the Crown, a liner), surrounded by a sleeve, a shroud, the parts required to make the shroud movable, an air stripper, and a moderator, that is a lot that has to be controlled to result in consistent accuracy. But, it's a neat rifle, very versatile, and appeals to a certain market.
