FX CROWN ARROW BARREL

You have to use crossbow bolts they are larger diameter 

Are the inside diameters of all arrows a universal size and does FX use that size on their arrows designed for the arrow barrels?

I would think somewhere in the install instructions there would be size. Arrows come in many many sizes.

If someone would measure the OD of the barrel then this would be the standard and "fit" would be found by measuring the ID of the arrows or bolts.

It would be interesting to see if longer heavier arrows or shorter light bolts gave better game killing performance (velocity/momentum/penetration).

Ive thought about exactly this, or having one made up to shoot easy to get crossbow bolts. Need that OD, I pmed a member that has a few but got no response.

always used easton aluminum slide over SS tube/line. (edit, easton gives you the size number on the shaft)

I'm sure google turns up plenty.

Carbon fiber, well that there high tech stuff is unknown to me.

If you've a good free barrel stub ( or can machine something) an arrow set up should run you less than $15.00 not counting projectiles. A liberal drop of silicone oil ads sealing (?) increasing fps.
