Fx crown

Just received my .25 caliber Crown last night. Put on a MTC Viper pro, green blob scope level and a set of FX no limit rings then headed out to shoot. Did not even clean the barrel or top off the air cylinder, about as “out of the box” as you can get. By the 3rd magazine it was consistently shooting dime-sized, 5 shot groups at 61 yards with no wind. I was using JSB 25.39 gr Kings straight from the tin at about 890fps.

is your transfer port set to 3 and what about your power wheel?

I'm having very little luck with my crown. I constantly have fliers but I'm shooting mkII.

my settings is tp 3 PW 4

Hello,

My Transfer port is on .25 / .30 cal ( apparently they have changed the numbering, I believe this is equivalent to 3) and power wheel on Max. Regulator is set to just under 130 bar on the gauge. Mine shoots the MKII’s at just under 800 FPS. Below are two 60 yard groups (10 shot and 5 shot) I shot yesterday in a 10 to 18mph wind using the MKII’s, I did clean the barrel before shooting these groups.

Same experience. And I have the same gray laminate. Tightened everything and cleaned the barrel first. It took maybe 100 shots for the groups to come back in line. I find that leaving the TP on 25-30 and then turning the power wheel (hammer pre-load) down just one click to 5 makes a lot of difference it the way it shoots. Awesome gun so far. She feels like a keeper :)

I have had mine for about 10 months and have done nothing to it at all. The accuracy is almost hard to believe. Mine likes the JSB 25.39 grain the best. And was truly unbelievable right out of the box.

You are in for an incredible day when the rifle comes, and many after that!

One thing that surprises me is that you see Crowns for sale already, I will definitely never sell mine. Perhaps they are just upgrading to the latest version. Enjoy the big day!

I think a lot of guys just want to have the cool new toy on the block, and so cycle through rifles a lot. Funny thing is that you often hear the same people expressing regrets for selling one rifle or another. ;)
