FX Crown 22 - best 100yd group so far!

Wow Bob!!!!

That is some serious sniper action!

I've been playing with the power on my power tuned .25 Cricket carbine and found a sweet spot at about 910 fps with the 32.8 big hollow points. Forget my phone yesterday out hunting but I head shot a squirrel at a lasered 76 yards using a log for a rest in prone position. Man I cant wait for some warmer weather and whistle pigs to start coming out of there holes....gonna be a great spring. All those shots I had to pass on last year with my Mrod are a thing of the past!!! Lol.

Bob, question for you. With your group did you try to compensate for the wind or just take what you got? Do understand my question?

If shooting in a competition you would hold to improve the group.

What I am trying to get at is what that group would be with NO wind.

Regardless that’s a remarkable group at 100 yards.

My guess is if you had no wind it essentially would have been all touching? No wonder the shots at 100 plus at pigeons are on .

I like how you placed the shots around that dime " Your good "

all kidding aside that is some good shooting Bob , try cleaning

that barrel and shoot the group again to see what happens . Dale

Dale, it’s all part of Bob’s not being able to hit pigeons unless theyre bunched up side by side! Bahahaha! Hey! my FX slug liner arrived today, day early! Glad I didn’t bet you on the twist rate of the 600mm 0,22...yep 1:16.

Bob’s offered to walk me through the hairier steps (for me at any rate) of swapping out parts. Feel kind of like a ships pharmacists mate being talked through an appendectomy by radio! I’ll be in touch tomorrow to place that order.
