FX Chrony on a tripod

I have an FX Chrony and sometimes I do not want to attach it to the barrel, especially if I am testing a couple different guns. Since it does not come with a tripod screw adapter, I made this little thing. Just took a short length of 1./2" pvc and put a 1/4-20 helicoil in it. Attach it to the Chrony like a barrel and then to a tripod. Works out great.

Martin, The original FX Chronograph came with a tripod mount on what's now called the "top". It was discovered by @mmahoney here on AGN back in 2019, that in fact, the FX chronograph was more consistent when inverted. FX subsequently made replacement "base adapters" to replace the 1/4-20 tripod mount and gave them free of charge (you payed postage) to those first adopters (me), and since, have been the standard adapter that is shipped with the chronograph. I like your enthusiasm, so keep on tinkering. Nice to see your work.
