My liner fit in the sleeve just right nice and snug but still removable. Can you say perfect?
The problem I had was the CF sleeve did not fit in the, old early Impact-X, barrel sleeve. So, after running some Scotch Bright up and down inside of the barrel sleeve twenty or thirty times to make sure it was cleaned out good I started using the Scotch Bright on the outside of the CF sleeve. When it still didn't fit I resorted to putting it in my mini lathe, like Rallyshark said a drill would werq, and used some 400 grit sand paper on it. It only took a few passes back and forth before it fit in the barrel liner snugly. But I had to tap it in, the last inch or so, past the threads with an eight mm 1/4 inch deep well socket and a small hammer. So, it fits good.
Doubt this will do much of anything, as the gun already shoots lights out, as I have already done a barrel tension mod on it so it is very stable. I also had my o-rings stabilized so they were not going anywhere either so, why I went through all of this trouble I have no clue. Possibly it will be a slight bit more stable now though?
Can you say Addiction? ;^)
Just an after thought there was really nothing wrong with the CF sleeve cuz as I looked down the inside of the old barrel sleeve I could see everything was as not smooth and perfect as it could be.
