FX BOSS QUESTIONS

My Boss is shooting the 44.75 grain JSB's at 879 fps and is extremely accurate with them. It shoots the 50 gr about 848 fps. Just as accurate inside 50 yds but not quite as accurate at 100 yds?

Yes it can be converted to .25 cal. and Glem.Chally would be the one who can help with the .25 cal conversion info.

I have a .25 FX 500 that takes care of my needs in that department.

Personally I would leave the Boss as is and just get a FX 500 to compliment it!

My 500 gets 70 shots on a fill from 200 Bar to 125 bar at 45 fpe. If I need more energy I grab the Boss for 77 fpe with the 44.75 gr or 80 fpe with the 50gr.

My Boss and FX500 have moved into 2nd and 3rd place for my most favorite guns that I own. With my Thomas being my number one!

Never thought I would see the day, but I've finally become an FX fanboy since getting these two guns!

Good luck

Fuss

Its not really a conversion per se, requires no mods to the Boss itself. Uses cocking parts from Royale series that fit in its brother (Boss) breech block. Can switch calibers in 5 minutes. As far as im considered there are zero downsides.

1 more versatile

2 cheaper to shoot

3 cheaper than buying a second gun

4 requires no modifications to the Boss

5 can go back to .30 in 5 mins

6 all factory parts from the same family of guns

7 able to make 20-25% more power if wanted than Royale 500 or 400. Or able to be as efficient as either. Owners choice.

To each their own but just making it clear it is far from sacrilege. Nothing is getting ruined by making a gun you love able to shoot other calibers.

Thanks Glem, you make it sound too easy......except for someone like me. I'll fork up a soup sandwich ;-)

I love the way I have my two set up, but if I ever feel the need for more power in the FX500, I'll go with another Boss tamed down to a 500 and have three of them! LOL The only downside would be I'd have to buy another scope and FX rings! LOL
