FX Boss 100 yds

Thanks ! Once I'd got the scope set (Chairgun was a big help in going from 50 yard zero to 100) I just held on target. The variation is greater left-right than up down suggesting that wind may be a factor. Compared to my FT setup I did find 20x to be on the low side, and I guess that with a 30x or greater magnification scope, as well as a shooting rest instead of bags, the groups might get a bit tighter.

Scalf - my groups are much tighter at 50 yds; I never bothered to measure because this is what you expect for this rifle. I'd expect you get pretty decent groups at 75 yds as well?

Our range is limited to 100 yds, but you have access to longer distances. It would be great to see what you can do at 150, 200, or even 300. You would probably need adjustable rings like FX no limit, or Sports Match, because at these longer distances you are going to run out of hold over aim points on most scopes.

Scalf very nice groups. Mine are comparable at 50 yds.

Out of curiosity I checked ChairGun's predictions based on settings I used to go from a 50 yard zero to 100 yards
on my MTC genesis which has 100 MOA adjustment. So if I set zero at 50 yards, with say three turns, on
the elevation turret, using adjustable rings to get sighted in, then in principle I'd be able to click up to 200 yards, but
no more than that.

Range POI POI POI POI

50 0.53 1.02 0.30 -4
100 -12.80 -12.23 -3.56 49
150 -47.92 -30.51 -8.87 122
200 -112.81 -53.86 -15.67 215
250 -218.62 -83.51 -24.29 334
300 -381.20 -121.34 -35.30 485

It would be very interesting to hear from people who have shot air guns well beyond 100 yards. Bullet drops are
formidable: 31 ft at 300 yards !!!.

Pellets aren't designed for long range.I think 100 to 125 is pushing it.If I was going to shoot and really try to hit anything much over 100 yds I would have an airgun made to shoot bullets.I am sure I will catch some flack for saying that but that is just my thoughts. Just look at what they do with muzzleloader. 30 years ago it was 100 yds and now it is 500 yds.
