FX Bobcat MK2 owners, your help is needed

Yes, I have an .30 FX Bobcat Mk2. The regulator gauge does twitch down when a round is shot. My normal reg. pressure is about 165b, and the needle goes to about 120b, then back up in less than a second to about 160b, then over a few more seconds to 165b. But its not the stock reg., it a Huma regulator...

Thanks guys!

Rm100guy, Not really, just noticed it for the first time since I don't normally look at the gauge when shooting. When I saw it, it made me wonder if maybe the reg was having an issue. Glad to hear this is normal. Mine is also set to around 135/140b. I turned down my HS thinking I might get better accuracy and shot count. I was shooting around 934 fps with a SD of 2.23. But I think I was approaching transonic speeds at higher temperatures here in Texas. I started seeing a few random POI shifts. So I have slowed it down via the HS to around 895 fps but my SD has increased to 5.0. Not the end of the world, but I am trying to always improve and find a sweet spot. I am still testing with the POI shift vs temperature (100 degrees +).

Centercut,

I knew you had replaced your .30 with the huma, read a few of your posts. Guess your still a fan of the Huma? Do you know what your velocity and SD numbers are running? Sounds like your reg gauge is doing the same thing as mine, just at different values. Good to know. thanks for the input.

My velocity with 44.75 grain is 885 FPS, and around 850 FPS with the 50.1 grain. I get about 40 shots on reg from 250b fill. ES under 10 for a 20 shot string. Don’t pay much attention to SD. Yes, I do like the HUMA reg. I replaced the stock reg because it was wondering all over the place between 145 and 160 bar.
