I have not seen anyone post anything like my process for selecting Hi and Low power settings on a bobcat or any other gun with power settings so I thought I'd share it with all of you. I switch from low to hi power settings quite a lot when pest hunting and I always wondered about my scope's zero when doing so. So, when using JSB Exact 25.4 I did the following: PS I'm shooting a .25 cal
1. Chrono low and hi power, my gun is 665 fps and 930 fps by simply using the power selector.
2. Build a ChairGun Pro model for both muzzle velocities
3. Zero scope while on low power at 35 yards.
4. Switch to Hi Power and shoot the 35 yard target
5. Measure distance from target to shot group impact points, (in my case, my hi power shot group, when shot at the 35 yard target was 2.75 inches high)
6. Use ChairGun Pro (high power settings) to find the distance at which my pellet's arc is 2.75 inches at 35 yards and that distance is now your high power (930 fps) scope Zero. (In my case its about 78 yards.
7. Now when Im in the field, I can switch from low power to high power on my gun and know where my scope's zero points are and I don't have to worry about doping the scope
The reverse might also work but I have not tried it out yet.
