Questions about Fx BOBCAT .30 regulator adjustment, shot count (300cc), etc

Q1. Anyone know how many shots per fill can one expect from the bobcat.30 ? (the 300 cc shorter cylinder)
Q2. What is the factory setting on the regulator?
Q3. If One continues to shoot below the factory setting of the regulator, will it harm the gun or impact the O Rings or the gun in any way? I heard if you shoot the cat with less air in it, it's not good for the gun. Is this true ?

Hi Fearnloading

I no longer own a Bobcat but I'll try to answer your questions:

Q1 - If I remember correctly I would fill to 220 bar & shoot two magazines (18 shots), and it never fell off the regulator. I believe some people filled to 240 bar and got maybe 24 shots. Sorry I never shot it off the regulator.
Q2 - Not sure. But I'm guessing about 150 bar.
Q3 - I don't recall hearing that. I do recall hearing that it was bad to shoot all the air out of the tube, in which case the seals may get loose/move.

  1. I don't know precisely. But, the 470cc tank grants 40 consistent shots, sooooo. (300/470)*40 = 26?
  2. 160 bar
  3. No. Unless you shoot the gun down to very very low (unusable) pressure. That isn't good for the valving.

  1. Thanks you so much Ted and Michael. Appreciate your views. Both of you were the reason I picked the bobcat. It's an awesome gun. I just got a hugger moderator for my cat. Now I have to find an adaptor since the hugget is built for the wolverine which has the half unf thread and the bobcat isn't half unf.
