FX Barrel Kit Liners

Does anyone know if the latest FX barrel kits come with the superior standard liner or old STX pellet liner?

I noticed the Huma website clearly states they come with the superior liner, but the US vendors are not clear.

Hi Jbravo,

To quickly answer your question, dealers in the US are receiving the Superior standard liners in Barrel kits. We have been shipping Superiors liners in our barrel kits for most of 2020 going into 2021. This means dealers with relatively new stock will have the Superior liners.

Which is to say dealers with old stock may ship you an STX unit. So if you want to be sure contact them. When I ordered a new Impact X I got the old style rather than what was advertised on the site. So you have to do the werq to be sure you get what you want.

Is there a side by side comparison of the liners.

I just got a new 22 barrel and the dealer told me "this is from the latest shipment so it should have a superior liner."

I ordered a new impact compact from TalonTunes and it came with a stx liner, but other dealers selling the same gun have superior liners. So it’s best to ask before you buy. I had to spend another $120 to get a superior heavy liner.

I believe the exception to this is still .177? I just bought a crown kit and it had the oval TP and stx barrel, so it was pretty new stock? Shoots good though

I ordered a barrel kit a month ago and the dealer swore blind it would have the superior liner well shock horror it arrived with the STX liner as you can imagine I was not happy girl. After a fair few phone calls the RFD supplied another barrel kit and again it was with the wrong liner after more phone calls and email a third one appeared with at last the correct liner. The seller blamed his staff naturally I disbelieved him it was clear he was trying to shift old stock. I did make an offer on one of the barrel kits at a very reduced price but alas he hung up the phone. I hate it when any business tries to stiff the little guy or in my case girl.

The .177 superior liner is easy to distinguish, as the rifling turns the oposite way, than the smooth twist-x.

I purchased a new MK2 from Topgun Airgun in November it was originally set up as a compact, he swapped it over to a .600mm .25 Cal but he put on a STX barrel. Didn’t notice it at the time because I had a Slug A liner Asi had plan on using. So yes make sure you check. FX should do a better job than just a sticker that comes off. Paint the tip or something.

I ordered a 600mm barrel kit for my Dream tac from Utha airguns and not only did it ship very quickly but it also arrived with the superior liner but also with the new light barrel system used on the Crown continuum. Thanks to Utha Airguns
