FX Airguns newest PCP... the IMPACT (video overview)

I would like a better understanding how the Valve for the bottle effects how the main regulator works. My theory is that the valve is playing a role as a rough adjusting regulator so in essence there are two regulators in this gun.

Your Impact was set for 140 bar regulator setting - Full bottle (250 bars/3625psi) set to valve setting 4 assuming will have 3625 psi coming out of the bottle
Max power wheel - valve 4 - 970
Max power wheel - valve 3 - 960
Max power wheel - valve 2 - 835

Like I have state my theory is that there are two regulators in the gun adjusting pressure. With each decrease in the valve the speed decreased which means the pressure being allowed to leave the bottle would need to be below your set reg of 140 bars or 2030psi.

When you change the valve setting does your reg setting change also?

I hope some one is following what I am saying or asking.... just trying to wrap my head around how everything works together on this air rifle

Good news for those of you who are concerned about the ultimate sound suppression. Apparently the telescoping part of the shroud can be removed (unscrewed) and you can add an adapter then install additional end pieces/baffles. This will be particularly useful for those that want to suppress the .30 on high power.

That is great news. Well done FX.

Great video Michael; thanks.

I'm a bit confused by the power you were getting with the .30. AOA has stated that the .30 was getting up to 90 ft-lbs of energy while your max, if I'm calculating correctly, was in the mid-70's. Is this discrepancy because the factory setting for the regulator is 140 bar while the regulator can evidently be safely adjusted to 150 bar? If so, would you be willing to adjust the regulator to 150 bar and repeat the numbers?

Again, many thanks for a great post.

GunnertronesQ: The bottle.
I'm wondering if you can replace the bottle on the Impact in the field with a spare precharged bottle? I mean.............you kan schrew it on/off withhout any risk of all the air leaking out?
This I do with my Steyr hunter, and it is so practical. Double your airsupply.

Yes the bottle is swappable.
