FX .30 cal. Tuning

.30 cal. With slug liner ...got NSA 47.2 , 65.5, and two sample packs of 61.5, 43.8, and 54.5

My question is when tuning what speed should I be trying to reach with chrono.so I don't waste ammo don't see a lot on Youtube for 30 cal...only .22 cal. Trying to get the highest speed not too worried about shot count but I do wanna have slug on slug accuracy @ 100 yards.......any comments will be appreciated

I'd tune for 940fps to start.

Watch the FX Masterclass video on Velocity tuning.....it will guide you the whole way.

Then harmonic tune if needed OR for best results on target.

On my .30 cal Impact I’m throwing the NSA 61.5 grainers at 907fps with very good results at 50 and 75 yards. No matter what you do you’re going to waste a lot of ammo till you find the right combination of speed and weight and power setting and just plain whatever YOUR gun likes.

They fit perfect. No problem as long as you don’t fill the mag, too much weight.

Caliber makes no difference.....the tuning process is the same.

I used the same tuning process with my 30 barrel kit as I did with my 22 caliber...same rifle. You choose the velocity.

Yeah but I wanted a good speed reference to shoot for ...I want the highest speed with the best accuracy, without wasting air or having slug destabilize for a .30 cal. Slug whats your opinion on that ...whats the best speed you think I should set my reg to B/4 Im adjust my hammer spring and test different settings for accuracy...I using NSA 47.2 gr. Seen all your videos too good job..

Maybe start at 120 and work your way up 5 bar at a time until you get 940fps?
