FX .25 CROWN LEAK

Well after about 4 months I have my first leak. As far as I know I have all the Orings and even 100 of the little 3 mm bearings. So I wasn't to concerned about fixing it. Removed the stock and used soapy water to find bubbles from where the reg meter screws in. No worries right? Well not exactly. I could tell by looking that the reg meter was in farther than the pressure meter a standard 11 mm wrench would not fit under the reg meter but would under the pressure meter. So I used a real small crescent and go it loose enough to unscrew. No Oring or anything in there? I thought that weird? but OK used some silicon on the flat end and put it back together. Air it back up and the gauge don't register anything. . Then I noticed that the gauge will rotate about a half turn. Turn left needle goes to zero, turn right needle tops out all the way right. turn it till it read 140, which is where I had reset it earlier. Noted pressure is dead nuts on 220 bar. Left it for an hour or so checked again, still good. Topped the tank off to 250 bar and now 3 hours later I am at 220 again. Several things concern me. One, I looked at the exploded view and there shows a "washer" #D20 there was no washer, but would explain why the threads went in deeper. TWO I don't think that meter should move like that and now wonder if the air is leaking through the meter.

It's probably 115 in my garage right now so I am NOT going to go tear it down again! It's a warranty issue but I don't want to risk shipping this clear across the USA. Anyone have any experience here? Also I have read where Guys are replacing these meters on other FX models but seems there is not a direct replacement for the Crown??

Thanx in advance
