FWB and HW 10 dime challenge

Shot two ten dime challenges this evening, would have liked to have shot more but the skeeters were eating me alive.

Both were shot from field target position using JSB 7.87 from 25 yards (lasered back to bumbag from target for yardage determination). Had a little wind to account for but not much. 5600feet above sea level, 80% humidity (just rained)

One was shot with this gun...

FWB 300s Mini with Vortex Crossfire 4-12x40? (not sure on lens size right now)

This one (below) came from the FWB (around 600fps as best as I can remember)

This is the HW

HW50s with Tinbum barrel weight/shroud, SWFA 20x, some Macarri internals, Samson butt hook, and a homemade 2x6 stock. Shoots the 7.87gr JSBs in the 710fps ballpark.

Here's the target from the HW

First time shooting the Mini in probably 10 months, and first time shooting the 50s in about 6 months.

Some of the shots got away from me.

Fun little exercise that further reinforced how much the shooters input can affect impact points when the pellet slinger is a springer, even at 25 yards.

Wasn't intended to be a showdown between the HW and FWB, simply used these two as they're my most accurate scoped springers.

(gotta admit was nice to just shoot away, no air tanks or shot counts to worry about)

Thanks for the kind words. Both of these guns are just impressively accurate. Not much recoil to fight with in the 300s, but that slow moving pellet gets pushed around pretty good in any wind.

The HW on the other hand, it'll clover leaf at 25 yards when I'm not so springer-rusty. That 9.5fpe does better in the wind than the 6fpe from the FWB, but the more pronounced recoil and (more so than the recoil) being out of practice takes its toll.

No matter how deep I get into the PCPs, I still enjoy a quality springer.

My HW-98 will shoot one hole five shot groups one after another at 25 meters, but that's OFF A BENCH. You're shooting is very impressive. I want you to know that I mean that sincerely.

HW-98 shoots 1.2 MOA at 25 meters
