I thought I got a good deal on a 300S on ebay several months ago and it was shooting around 690fps. I thought maybe it had an arctic spring but the cocking lever seemed way too hard to close so I haven't been shooting it. I thought maybe it had too many spacer/power washers installed. It had been worked on, you can see the spring greased like you don't do with these and two corners of the shoulder screw were "marked" I found out why when I tried to loosen, I couldn't keep a wrench on it.
I thought it was glued or something. I tried heat, tapping with a hammer, I finally got it with a large pair of vise grips and a clamp.
I got all the grease out but my question is does anyone have a 300s piston they can measure inside from top to the bottom and should I see "brass" down in there. I don't think so and if it's a washer, it's a tight fit, I can't get anything to come out.
