FWB 300S Got One Joe it's all your fault

I finally got my hands on a FWB 300S, from a local guy at my gun chub that made it easy. It's not often for me to be able to buy a airgun in person, most purchases have been on line, a crap shoot.

Now to the gun it's in fair shape for a 42 year old gun, the gent I got it from bought it used from Beeman in San Rafael back in the early 90s and took very good care of it. The stock could do with a refinish but the blueing is great. It is very accurate but the spring twang has to go. Compared to my FWB 603 accuracy on par but the shot cycle and spring noise not good. I'm sure with a good tune the spring twang will go away, I hope. Anyway the first shot string and pics.

Beautiful gun. Mine averaged 633 with 7.87's and new FWB springs and 654 with a Maccari spring. I didn't like the shot cycle with the Maccari spring though.

The shot cycle is fine, power is good, accuracy is outstanding but I hate the spring rattling and twanging but I'm sure that can be fixed. Buy the looks of the tiny 10 shot groups this one's a keeper.

Up close H&N Finale Match 8.18grs are hard to top. JSB 7.87grs shoot great out farther.

Up close 10 yards it makes ONE hole with everything I tried. At 25 your right it stacks JSB 7.87s 10 shot groups the size of a .25 pellet or less.

Both of mine shoot the JSB 7.87's best at 25 yards too, at 10M JSB Match 8.26 gr are best, although they shoot the 8.02 JSB Match well too,
