FWB 10 metre rifles R they any good for 25 yard br

as it says are they any good for br

muzzle velocity is 496 with a 8.2 grain wadcutter

looking to use JSB or AA 8.44 weight and .177 caliber of course

without converting them to 12 foot lbs can they be competitive

I have a FWB Jon Harris converted field target rifle and it is nice

a guy has a new 10 meter rifle for sale at a decent price and if it could be used for competing then maybe purchase it

it would be easier to have another rifle then fiddle with the field target rifle all the time for a hour at the bench

AND HEAVEN FORBID WHAT ABOUT AT 50 YARDS BENCHREST

at the reduced speed of the 10 meter model does the accuracy fall off and if so how much

thoughts and

thanks

I don't know which model FWB you are considering, but I shoot my FWB 300S in the 25M springer class and it does very well. I use JSB 7.87 gr pellets which come out at around 615 fps or 6.6 fpe. Wind, of course, is a big factor, but if you practice enough and develop your wind compensation skills, there's no reason why you couldn't shoot 50 yd too.

Great gun! Selling now for $1695.00 new. I have the 12 lb 800X Basic FT version. If you happen to buy the gun, get the quick fill device from Joseph 1000 in Croatia { website } so you do not have to remove the air tube to fill it. Uses a probe and fits onto the end of the tube. Has a manometer. Need to buy the special wrench to remove the original.
