FT on Front Range in Colorado?

I'm actually wondering the same thing. Wouldn't mind giving it a go but not sure where to start. 

I maintained a very nice course in Montrose, CO for a few years.....but never could get anyone to come over. I travel to Flagstaff fo shoot. That’s as close as it gets for me.

I live in western Nebraska. My LGV, HW98, and HW97 are still BB guns around here and considered toys. You get a FT course going on the front range of Colorado I'll be there. 

I live in the Golden area and have a friend that has a little more than 1/2 acre and I can shoot out to about 75 yds. but too many close-by neighbors to feel comfortable with any more rhan one or two shooters. An FT group would be great. Looks like more than a few of us looking for a place to go, maybe something will turn up. I have met only one other airgunner here but that was 3 yrs ago and haven't seen him since. Maybe?!

What part of western Nebraska? I was born in Scotsbluff and still have family all over between there and Torrington. We were farmers in the area.

It's amazing with all the available land in CO that there isn't an FT course. I understand not enough people in the smaller, more remote towns in CO but the Denver/Colorado Springs area there should be plenty of interest. 2-3 acres is plenty for a normal FT range.

R&L Airgun Supply in Colorado City may be able to help. I haven't been down to visit them in about 2 years but they did sponsor a fun shot (not FT) once a year and were active with Colorado Wildlife trying to get airgun hunting legal in Colorado. Im on the western slope of Colorado near Montrose and have been looking for other like minded air gunners. I have a 50 yard range set up and would love to share it. If you guys can get something going on the front range id be there.

I live in Brighton until end of June. I just go shoot prairie dogs on some permissions. 

have the same issue in Montana....

lots of open space, rich shooting sports history, and few airgunners...

Maybe if we ask Mike poliltely, he'll do another match.....

Hi Dan,

My friends farm where I had my course has been sold, so I took it down last year. Interest is just not strong enough here to maintain a course with hopes of monthly matches where more than 1 or 2 might show up. I put up my course in the spring of 2016 so I could learn the game without excessive travel. I think there was only 1 other person that entire time that came out to shoot. Many said they would, but it just never happened. It’s just the way it is out here.
