Frustrated with .177 Impact

I have an FX Impact in .25 and .177. I bought the .177 with the intention of using it for field target. I have not been able to get the .177 barrel to shoot accurately at all. I mean like 2 inches at 25 yards. I have tried all of the popular pellets and lubed vs unlubed. It was shooting the Air Arms 10,3 Field Target Heavies with lube nicely, but now doesn't even seem to like those. The gun is capable of of .3"ctc groups at 50 yards with the .25 barrel so I don't think it is me. I have also tried removing the shroud to see if that changed anything and it appears to have had no affect. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what I should try. I would like to not need to send it to someone like earnest, as I have already spent $500 on just the barrel. I have contemplated just selling the gun lately out of frustration, and the ability to put that money towards another purchase.

Hi Mark. Matt is testing the smooth x barrel in this video which of course is a different barrel but this fine tuning of the reg could work for you too.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
I have .25&.22 the both very accurate. Maybe you could swap for the .22 if you can't get the .177 to work as it should. I don't know a lot about FT and which caliber is best or allowed but most who have a .22 are happy.
Feel your pain. $500 is to much to pay and not get the results you deserve.

Dang, I hate that for you Mark. I was looking forward to making another match with you when the summer is over. Worse comes to worse you can always use my Thomas and beat me with my own gun again ;-) LOL
