FPS new HW95L .22 without tune.

I am curious about the FPS for my new stock HW95L .22 as I don't have access to a chronograph. I am SWAGing at 650 FPS & thanks.

Projected trajectory.

My HW95L, also from AoA on 8/04/2020, clocked 5 shots at between 555 & 561 FPS using JSB Jumbo by Logan of AoA. The printout has a + - T M $ while the printed data from AoA has + - E M S . That is why I curious about the FPS of folk's HW95s. The rifle is very accurate out to 25 yards and I upgraded the scope to a Hawke 4 - 16 X 44 MM SF IR Compact using Hawke 30 mm medium rings. 6 shots today at 25 yards.

This is the new scope.

My stock 95L shot the 5.53 head size H&N FTT at about 675 fps. That seems to be the best pellet for both accuracy and power. I noticed that similar weight JSB pellets, although very accurate, seem to run a little slower than the H&N. They're down about a foot pound of energy. I don't know why that is, possibly the JSBs have a skosh more friction. The FTTs are a very tight fit in the breech. Using a pellet pusher you get a distinct snap as they seat. The JSBs don't do that, possibly due to diameter, softer alloy, or the JSB thinned skirt edge. Light weight alloy pellets (FTT green and Baracuda green) are usually the best for velocity. They're more expensive so I haven't taken the time to dial them in.

It looks like you received some great info here! If you're not philosophically opposed to buying cheap Chinese stuff, I wanted to suggest considering one of these for about $40 shipped.

I have one like it and it works reasonably well. I also have a ProChrono chronograph and the velocities each report are typically within about 10 fps of each other. The main reason I bought the cheap one is that I do like to shoot in the evening and my ProChrono does not do well in dim lighting where this Chinese one has built in illumination. The main annoyances are that the Chinese one ONLY reads in meter per second so I have to convert that and it does not store the velocities.

Have a Pro Chrono myself that's going on 5 years old and never given me any issues. Dvor has a sale going on several different versions of them and some pretty good prices compared to what I paid for mine. Free to join and they currently have a sale going on scopes too, it's under the Special Offers heading titled Best Optics under $300. If AGN had a Bargain Gate or similar, I would have posted it over there:
