Found this a bit interesting and can be used as a guideline for obtaining the right power by dialing in a pellet weight into the best known FPS range for diablo pellets (800~ to 950~).
671 FPS = 1 FPE per Grain
821.8 FPS = 1.5 FPE per Grain
948.9 FPS = 2 FPE per Grain
1162.2 FPS = 3 FPE per grain.
So therefore you'd see something like this from a 33.95 grain pellet.
671 FPS = 33.95 FPE
821.8 FPS = 50.925 FPE
948.9 FPS = 67.9 FPE
1162.2 FPS = 101.85 FPE
Of course 670 is a bit slow for most but still reasonable and pellet stability isn't much of an issue as much as limited range is, but that could be good for many just plinking in their backyard. The ideal range would be between 1.5-2x (821.8-950 FPS). The 3x factor is way too fast for diablo pellets to stabilize but many slugs can be shot upwards of those velocities.
