Was that a pcp used? I’ve never been around one to know what they sound like but your gun is really quiet. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.

Yes I used viper also, I feel it would be fine for my ratting at 25y but like the wolf's intensity for 50y shooting. They claim 100y on viper. You will know what's out there but for 100y I would like the eagle. The 800 spectrum is much brighter than the 900 spectrum (Dark Ops) but it will have a red glow emitting from the unit. All depends on your hunting area I think. If you are a pest controller near lots of lights you blend in but in fields that have nothing around the animals always looked write at me. Nice shooting. I'm in nc too alamance county I haven't tried hunting these guys since I dont have a night scope but they are thick. I can hear em barking and calling eachother at night. Sometimes it sounds like there are 20 of them within 100yards of the house.

Both head shots stayed inside but dropped them. One spine shot dropped but a cripple one in lungs with .30 call made 25y. Only spine shot went through.
