Tuning foster connection wont seal?

When trying to fill the GF's gun the other day for the first time in a year when opening the bleed valve from either the tank or a compressor the air from the guns tank exited. I could release the connector when the pressure was down to about 1000psi. and the drain from the guns tank stopped otherwise would go until empty.

What can I do to fix this? A drop of oil when I try to fill again or do I have to replace the foster fitting?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Sounds to me like a sticky inlet valve in the guns male Foster fitting. Some can be accessed and corrected after removing the Foster fitting from the gun. Worst-case scenario, a new Foster fitting.

I had this with an FX gun. Removed foster fitting and replaced O ring. No problem since

It might be that your trying to bleed the hose off too slowly, maybe not though. You might try just kicking the bleed valve open sharply as to create more dp across the male qc and the fill source which might make the internal check valve seal better/quicker. Just a thought. If all else you should be able to pull the male qc once the air tube or bottle is confirmed totally empty and clean or replace the defective part.
