Is it just me ?? I'm a member of several of the AIRGUN forums . And I truly enjoy all of them . To me they each have their good and maybe bad points .. But there always seems to be members in each forum that can't help but bellyache about whatever their particular gripe is .
The forums are fun to spend time on. To me 1 forum is better to buy and sell on , 1 is better to get good target info , 1 is a blast cause its free for all where ya gotta have your big boy pants on to enjoy , and 1 is the best place to get great info on Swedish airguns . ...
Let's enjoy each forum for its good points and bear in mind that these guys that run the forums devote a lot of time to keeping them up to date and maintaining them . If they are able to capitalize and make a little extra money , or get some free products then more power to them !!!
I am an absolute fan of Kalibrgun , I love mine and am amazed each time I shoot it ........BUT if FX , or Tiapan , or Daystate was suppling me with goodies ...GUESS WHAT !!????? LOL
Keep it positive guys , Airguns are great fun and I've met some Incredible guys who have helped me immensely . You don't hear a Ford dealer bragging on Chevy trucks . So take some of what you hear as slanted . But even then the guys will still help you and guide you so you don't end up wasting your hard earned money . This my longest post EVER ! Just felt it strongly

I regularly step into "landmines" at another airgun forum because I do not "live" there regularly (I won't name it) . These landmines are left behind from disagreements and other palace intrigues going back years or a decade. I had innocently posted questions or opinions on certain topics and soon after I found myself in the middle of a fist fight and members beating on eachothers' heads with the butt of their $3,000 airguns... At times I have a hard time figuring out what major brand allegiance rules in that particular month or year, as allegiances shifted since the last time I lurked around. The airgun brand which was "banned" in the previous year now has taken total control of the forum and the "darling" brand of yesterday now became the evil pariah banned from being even mentioned.

Ok,ok, may be a dramatized things a bit, but I am certainly much more careful now with trying not to step on a landmine. One thing for sure, no matter how heated the drama became I eventually always received a helping hand or advice from the folks in the forum. Albeit nowadays I am trying to avoid a potentially controversial topic/question by conducting adequate reconnaissance and intelligence gathering first, and only if EOD is standing by... It's all good fun! :)

I got banned from a forum for simply praising service I received , and help given from a well known desert dealer .... Don't know if they are on the goodguy or badguy list here and honestly don't care. Lol.. Guys that are willing to share knowledge and help guys when starting out ( or dealing with an unfamiliar brand ) should be applauded. Regardless if they happen to have an ad at the moment

My daughter (9) has taken a huge interest in airguns over her powder burn. I bought her a Brocock Contour here, thanks BVAN. Anyhow, Ive been on the other sites and the infighting, and some, the truckers language is ridiculous. This is the site I let her on to search and read. I spend most time here. Its refreshing and I hope it stays that way. Thanks Ted and Michael, and all that give their knowledge freely

Well, my main hobby is amateur radio. It is no different with respect to the subject at hand. But I'll add this.

There are always one or two folks (posters) who think they're the cat's meow, and know more than anyone else on every subject no matter what it is. After reading their posts for awhile, you realize that most of these folks aren't much more than pseudo-intellects. Thankfully, most forums have ignore buttons.

This is the reason why I made a post a while back. I will not link to it as I do not want to drag it back up. However, that was my main point. We say we love this sport and want to see it grow, but we continually seem to not be able to have respectable discourse. Without discussing dealers, banned members or the like, we should be able to talk about "any" airgun without it devolving into hate speech. We shouldn't have to worry about all of these so-called landmines. Most of us on all of these forums are, for the most part, adults. We should act like it.

Keith.

Yah, me too. And then there's another one that is just plain creepy. I like this forum, and one other as friendly, US based airgun forums.

JoeWayneRhea, I agree with you..Only I find whatever air rifle in my hand at the time is my favorite!! I have had the pleasure of owning Daystate, FX, Styer, Evanix, Crosman, Brocock, and held Kaliber guns....All were great shooters and fun even when not a great shooter. Damn, does the say not go "Variety is the spice of life" ? I subscribe to that fully.

I get a kick out of each forum I belong to and appreciate the sales, buying, opinions, advice, triumphs and even the failures that get corrected!

But then again i am retired and don't really have much else to do!.....LOL

Oh but I don't care for the whining, complaining, and stupid remarks that are made by people, that lack the education to speak intelligently on a subjec,t with out doing so.

All forums are pretty much the same. I've been on computer forums, gun forums, handgun forums, archery forums airgun forums, reloading forums, & the list goes on & on. You always have a few that move in and try to take over with their vast knowledge about everything, even tho the week before they were the one asking about the same thing that all of the sudden they are now experts on. You have to take everything for what is worth & forget about it. As easy going as this forum is, if you mention the wrong thing, you'll get the boot here too. That's just the way all forums operate.
