I am not religious Plinker, and lost my faith years ago, so the man up there will hardly accept my prayers. But please receive my greatest hope for Laurie.

You are always accepted Gunnertrones. That is the grace. I would cherish your prayer to Him as much as anyone’s and believe it is received. I thankfully accept your hope. We are kindred spirits through our joy of woodworking. I pray you regain that faith at some point JUST AS MUCH as I pray for my wife.

Thank you for the update Plinker. This is wonderful, God has had compassion for you and your wife. He sat before you life and good, death and evil and because you have chosen life that you and your descendants may live, that you may love the Lord you God, that you may obey His voice and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days. What a wonderful testimony both of your lives are for Him and His grace. I have a Russian friend named Anton who is a missionary and bush pilot in Alaska bringing the Gospel to Native American Eskimos and He shared a similar story with me this week and God moved in a very strange way to make things right. God is not stagnant, He is dispensing grace where needed with love and compassion. We will continue to keep Laurie's name before the Lord, she is not out of the woods yet … but we have Hope!

No problem at all Plinker, you had a tragic situation that you had no power to fix, in and of yourself, so you did what Adonai wanted you to do, you looked to Him in spirit and in truth ... and fellow believers to keep Laurie's name before Messiah Yeshua. You reached out in faith to Adonai, touched His heart with your sincerity and humility and He responded. Simple as that! God is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plinker, I have avoided replying to this tread as I’m dealing with my own issues, selfishly. But today, I decided to read everyone’s replies on here and realized I’m nothing but a turd(big turd, mind you) with nothing to complain about. I wish the best for your wife, and wish many many joyful years for you and her together.
Sometimes it takes eye openers like this to keep us in check, and I’ve been raised believing there is someone up there greater than all of us, and I will be asking him to pay special attention to your wife these next few weeks and months. I feel she needs it the most right now.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he

So true Legionair. I feel his embrace as He carries us through this and I know without a doubt He will be glorified through these circumstances. I wish It were me instead of Laurie, but I trust Him and marvel at what He did with His son, that even while I was still a sinner He sent him to die on my behalf.

The mastectomy went great. 2hrs. Radioactive dye revealed one main sentinel lymph node that was removed and appeared ok visually, but was sent to the lab for findings. Laurie has kept her smile through it all. She will spend the night and be discharged in the morning. Thank you all for praying as we have felt such a peace being held in Gods hand through this, and we had so many friends and family come today to pray over and with her, including doctors and nurses. Laurie has had the boldness to share this struggle though she is generally a very private person. It has opened many deep conversations this week and I’m sure that her witness will continue to shine. This is a day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it, for we are in Him and praise His name that He counts us worthy to represent Him. As I am sharing with you the nursery chime has sounded, as a new born has come into the world. We are in the overflow on the maternity hall.

First of all, I am saying prayers for you and your family. I know the toll this takes on a husband and family as well, so you are in my prayers.
I would also just like to state how uplifting it is to see this group rally around you, to see the uplifting of Jesus name. We serve and awesome God, and I love seeing the sharing of his word and love. This thread is touching more than this one family as others are reading it, and you all are an inspiration to others as you share his word.

You have a most remarkable wife Plinker. Beautiful inside and out. The way the two of you have met this situation head on, and not only kept the faith, but through it were able to grow stronger. I am sure the two of you love each other and appreciate each other more than you ever would have had this not happened. I am amazed at the two of you, you feed my soul, my cup over flows.

It's Stephen about to be stoned:" I can see … the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God". It's Michaelangelo striking his sculptured Moses and commanding him "Speak!". It's doubting Thomas discovering his God in the wounds of Yeshua. It's Mother Teresa spying the face of Yeshua in the tortured poor. A child casting his first kite into the wind. It's the love and dependence of a wonderful couple who have walked hand in hand through the years putting their lives in the trustworthy hands of the One who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Plinker … Laurie … our Bible says that the love of Messiah Yeshua surpasses all knowledge and that is true, we will never know all there is to know about His love, but it never said that we can't experience it and THAT is what you both have just done. You have experienced that unfathomable love at work in your lives.
Lord Yeshua, you are the master of life and death.
Everything we have is Yours and we love you deeply.
Just one touch from You restores the sick, heals the broken and transformes the darkness.
Only You can do this ... Only You.
So we ask that You would be with Plinker and Laurie in this moment.
May they sense Your presence
