For Those of You With A RAW Carbon Bottle

Looking at my RAW .25 I noticed the carbon bottle is just touching the barrel sleeve right where the bump is on the bottle label. I can't help to think this can effect the poi??? When the bottle is filled, it is heated and more than likely expands a bit tipping it upwards. Of course the barrel cannot be indexed because of the transfer hole. If any of you have a chance, could take a look in that area?
I might add nothing is touching the bottle pushing it upward.

Just checked my .357. At both 145bar and a full 250 bar. It has an even amount of small air gap along the entire cylinder vs sleeve. I could not visibly notice a difference between bottom or top of a fill.

Is the outside carbon jacket on your cylinder lumpy? When I run my fingers down the length of the cyclinder, it has two very light depressions (not lump) closer towards the neck. Not enough to visibly make a difference in gap uniformity.

"kabukicrack"Mark,

I don't want to be disrespectful & hijack this thread. You can pm me for more pics & info, but yes she's a RAW offset moderator...

Don't worry about a hijack. Actually...... I was wondering if it is better than the straight one. I have a .22 HMX on order as well. Might need to add to my order. I also see you had some extra stipple done.

Mark & Dirte,

I've never had a straight moderator from RAW so I can not compare. This is my 1st RAW .25 HM1000X rifle. If I had to review the report of this offset moderator from RAW. I'd say it is not backyard friendly if you are blasting outa your garage w/ close proximity neighbors. I will say that for a 56 fpe rifle, she is quiet. Compared to my former Vulcan .25 w/ a Donnyfl Sumo moderator @ 46 fpe...the Vulcan is ninja quiet. Compared to my AZ MK2 Rapid in .177, .20, & .22 barrels w/ AZ's shrouds...the Rapid IS my most quiet rifle (.177 cal 72 yard head shot on the bird). Yes, the forgrip stippling is very nice for what RAW charges.
I just spent 5 hours at the rifle range this past weekend & it's exceptional to see this rifle group multiple 10 shot groups better than any powderbuner for the day out there at 50 yards. Truely, peps where in "AHHHH" w/ the beauty, & accuracy of this rifle. I'm still in search for the best speed for the jsb 34g pellets. As of right now, my best 10 shot group at 50 yards is .45" @ 875 fps (fps where Martin set her at) & I know she can perform much better...
