Fittings for fire department filling

I’m looking into getting a small guppy style tank to carry with me in a backpack when out with my leshiy, but I currently fill my bottles from my fire department. What fitting would I need to fill a standard guppy or Benjamin style bottle from a fire department compressor? My standard bottle is a scba bottle, so it already has the valve on it.
thanks in advance.

Yes, my current tank has the cga347 valve that I fill at my fire department. I’m looking into getting a guppy or small tank, and most of them have foster fittings to fill guns, so I’m looking for a fitting that I can connect to the femal foster, and hook it directly to my fire departments compressor for filling. I looked on Joe brancato website, but I’m not seeing what I need. I’m also open to better options.

Not all guppy size (90 cu in) tanks have the foster connector built in. JoeB's "guppy", for example, has a DIN300 connector with the option to add a male foster adapter. Those that do have the foster connector usually have a male foster connector, so I think you would want a CGA347 to female foster adapter like the one in the screenshot below.

North Shore Compressor is a good source for adapters like that. I think they have an ebay store, but here is a link to the adapter on their webpage.

I also found one on experthpa.com, which is one on JoeB's many sites. http://experthpa.com/cart/cart.php?m=product_list&c=24  (7 down in the left column)

It's quite a bit more expensive than North Shore Compressor

Benjamin 90 cu in air tank looks to have the JoeB valve with a fill whip installed using a wrench tight DIN300 adapter.

If I were in your shoes and already had SCBA tanks with the CGA347 built-in to the valve I would get one of the tanks with the DIN300 connecti0n and get a DIN300 to CGA347 adapter to permanently install on it. Then, I wouldn't have to worry about forgetting my adapter when I went to the firehouse to fill it and then I could use the same fill whip that I used for my other SCBA tanks.

That adapter is this one found here: http://experthpa.com/cart/cart.php?m=product_list&c=24  (6 down in right column).

You could also make a CGA347 to Male DIN300 adapter using these parts from ebay.

So I thought about approaching the local fire station and asking them to fill my 74 ft.³ scba tank. Seem like an awkward thing to ask them to do since they’re basically sitting around waiting to go Fight a fire or other emergencies I guess it’s worth a try.
Based on how this topic is going it seems like a common practice. Interesting might be able to get by with it in a small town more so than a big one.

I’m a volunteer in my local fire department (not a paid department), so I get the perks of filling it there. It’s my responsibility, so don’t be surprised if your department says no. It’s a big liability, and if anything happens, it can cause all sorts of problems. If your tank is new, or had a recent hydro test, it’ll help your case.
