First time at 100 yards

With the weather warm and sunny took the Kalibrgun Argus 60 in .22 out to 100 yards for the first time.

Using JSB jumbo heavy 18.13gn pellets shot the attached target, there was a full wind of 5mph gusting making wind correction quite difficult 



More practice needed but its a start

You should try slugs. And as far as testing if there is ANY wind may as well forget it. JSB Knockouts in 217 diameter work in an unchoked barrel for me 216 might be better in a choked one. Frankly I think before you attempt 100 you have to tune the gun at closer range. Shoot at about 35 yards and work with the gun until you can get three in one hole. Until you can do that it’s really just frustrating trying to shoot at 100.

A couple of wind indicators would be huge. Even if you just put streamers out so you can tell what direction it’s going

it doesn’t take much wind at all to move your pellet three or 4 inches at 100 yards. If the wind switches directions all of a sudden you’re at 8 inches...

The first time you’re shooting with flags, and you see a switch happen, it will really open your eyes.

You don’t need anything fancy to start out with, a couple 3/4 inch dowels with a streamer on top at 20 and 50 yards will make a night and day difference.

The JSB jumbo monsters redesigned 25.39gn arrived today, initial testing at 25 yards show they are fantastic in my gun, they have the edge over the 18.13 gn pellets which are superb.

I expect much tighter groups at 100 yards, will get up the field in the next few days for a serious testing.

Just put the JSB Jumbo monster 25.39 gn over the chrono 809 fps average speed

Just back from the field.

With the JSB jumbo monster redesigned 25.39gn cracked the sub moa group at 100 yards!

A very happy chappy

HI just wondering what FPS for hammer spring are you using for jsb monster redesigned 25.39 for moa group at 100 yards? I just got Argus 60 .22 and also on a quest to look for the most accurate pellet or slugs. Also, have you tried any slugs that shoots great groups at 50,75, or 100 yards.

I am pushing the redesigns 25.39 at about 790 fps and the 18.13gns 5.53 at 930 

Out to 50m the 18.13 seem more consistent, wish I could get the redesigns in 5.53 think they would be even better.



As for slugs, I have tried loads around 25 to 27gn the Patriot javelin were quite good as was the NSA the FX hybrids were disappointing and the H&N in 21g were a complete waste of space.



Not been playing with the Kalibergun much recently I am bit disappointed with their lack of customer service.

was after extra mags and they would not supply direct. They insisted I get them through the local dealer, though they never answer the phone, so the gun has remained in the safe and the 22lr has been used more often.
