First Night Vision Kill.

Tonight about an hour after sunset I finally found whats been raiding and dismantling my bird feeders on my property I have out in a rural area. It was a raccoon, which oddly enough was what I originally had in mind when I was cobbling together a night vision setup. Had to settle for a heart and lung shot. The .25 Marauder and predator polymags definitely did their job. Didn't get any video unfortunately, but next time I'll be prepared.

Do have one normal picture, will add it later once I get it uploaded.

Marauder is completely stock, and I'd say it was close to 40yds. After my father cleaned it he said the polymag pulverized one of the ribs, completely destroyed one of the lungs, and we couldn't find an exit hole or what was left of the polymag after that. I'm going to have to go back because when I checked on the feeder again today the front panel was snapped in half and all the feed was gone. Definitely going to try for some video the next time.

So far I've seen no more raccoons. I suspect they're still in the area because I know they're quick learners. I did however see a skunk feasting on the seed left behind after the previous raccoons raid. I left it be since it left the area quick when I made a little noise. I'd rather have a live skunk that'll leave when disturbed around my property than try to dispose of a dead skunk anytime.
