First N50 cards

It was pretty frustrating for me, there was a little wind but not bad. My range is uphill and there was a breeze coming down the hill at times, and it think I observed shots going high during that time but I’m not sure what I was seeing. And I was definitely surprised that I did better with the .25 Crown than I did with the Rapid .20! This is way harder than I thought it was going to be lol!

I was humbled by the N50 target. It is a lot harder that it looks.

Good shooting, Dave. There is a lot to deal with at 50y. 50 is about the limit for any kind of real precision using a pellet gun. The nice part is that skill and preparation will always end up at the top of a 50y match. Luck is an almost insignificant element.

I agree it’s very humbling, I’ve been struggling with this N50 competition. I might be able to get away with one card that’s acceptable but extremely hard to shoot 3 cards acceptably, for me anyway!

I’m not a quitter, so I will keep working to get a better handle on this longer range competition, understanding and interpreting what the flags are telling you is so much harder to do. What you might be able get away with at 25m isn’t going to “FLY” at 50yds. You better have confidence in your equipment or you’ll be chasing your tail every card.

I’m going to set up more flags, I just have one at the target now. I tried a couple of cards in wind yesterday and didn’t do well at all lol! Humbling but addictive too, I’m really looking forward to the next session.
