The brown truck dropped this off for me today, on time, unlike the white trucks lately.
First thing I noticed was the nice wood stock. It is not highly figured beautiful wood but it is nice.
It has a rubber butt pad which is a nice touch although on this .177 it really isn't needed.
The bluing looks good except on the tube cap where it appears pliers may have been used at the shop to load the 2 CO2 cylinders to test fire it.
It feels good in hand, the specs say it weighs 5.5 lbs.
Mike at Flying Dragon tuned it for medium power at my request.
His test shots :
RWS Hobby 751fps
JSB 8.4g 716 fps
H&N 10.6g 663 fps
I didn't have time to play so I did not set up a target but I did put 5 pellets through it at various pieces of wood between 8 & 12 yards.
To my old ears it seems a little on the loud side.
The plastic fiber optic sights were ok for this quick test. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage, of course.
I was surprised at the effort required to pull the bolt back the last 1/2 inch. I just glanced at the manual before doing this review and it says to pull the bolt back hard and fast. lol
There was no creep on the trigger, it is firm and a bit lawyered (heavy). It is a 2 stage adjustable trigger.
For $130 tuned to your needs and delivered to your door I give it 4 3/4 thumbs up.
