"C" is for COMPACT.. Yeah, I know..not very creative. 

Basically a Lelya in a R5 Synthetic stock..with a modified fore-end..then some stippling. It will be getting a coat of paint when I get time and good weather.

7lbs 6oz. as pictured with the Optisan CP 3-12x32P MH10.

The synthetic stock is a little over half a pound lighter than the wood stock.

The stippling came out pretty good..and boy, is it grippy. :)

I definitely like the "look" with the standard moderator..

..but, the BAT moderator is oh sooo quiet..

I know what you mean on the 30s..I'm lucky to have a R5 .30 Standard..looks like a "big brother" to the R5M-C .22 with the standard moderator.

The stippling was easier than I expected..and at the same time..took much longer with a single point, battery powered, soldering iron. There's a company in OR StippleTec (sp?) that sells stippling irons that would make stippling go much faster. They have lots of different patterns, too. They would work really well with an adjustable temp soldering iron..I had one that wasn't adjustable and was just a bit too hot.

Super cool. Looks awesome. 

I stippled a whole Glock 35 one time with the same, single point soldering iron. I wanted each series of dots to be symmetrical, like the 5 side of a dice, so it looked professional when it was done. It did look awesome but it took me 4 hours! Never again with that kind of soldering iron! Your stippling looks great, hopefully it didn’t take you as long as it did me! 😆

Thanks! I didn't take 4hrs..LOL..but I did have to do it in a couple of passes. I'd think I was done, then I take the work out in the sun or take a hi-res photo and realize it wasn't quite there yet.

There's a company in OR that makes soldering iron tips that speed up the stippling process. Think waffle maker pattern. 

I tried the tips on a "wood" soldering iron I had, but the temp was way too hot and it had no adjustments..just really HOT. The grip material on a Glock seems to be a little different than that in the EdGun Synthetic material..so it might not be as sensitive to over-heating..IDK

I went with the "trocar" point shape because it was easier to gauge the depth of the stipples..and to my eye..the square hole it made looked better than round.
