First hunt today with the new Marauder FT....

Took the new Marauder FT to the woods this afternoon on its first squirrel hunt. I've spent the last two weeks or so punching holes in paper trying to learn the rifle and find that "right" pellet combination. Well, I felt pretty confident after this morning, so I headed out about noon today and christened it in the woods near by. Excellent hunting rifle!!!! I couldn't be happier with its performance as a woods/field gun. I left the woods this afternoon with 5 in the bag......now there's five in the freezer! Thats what we call a "mess" of squirrels in Alabama. Was able to make easy clean kills with every shot that presented itself. Today was the first of many hunts to come this season with the Marauder. Just thought I would share..........

One heck of a short afternoon hunt.....with one heck a good hunting rifle.

Thanks

Way to go, and thanks for the inspiration! Good to see a hunting post involving a made in America airgun, hunting the #1 airgun quarry.

If/when you get time, would love to see some numbers, shot stings, etc.

Rock On!!

Thanks Steve and everyone that replied also. To your request Steve.....I plan on shooting it across the chronograph and getting some numbers soon. Maybe this weekend, we will see. But I wanted to first find the pellet that I felt was most accurate and then test velocities. I feel like I've done that so I'll post as soon as I can get time to test. And yeah, I really like the fact that it's a "homegrown" rifle. But more importantly its a darn good one. A superb small game gun.
