Hi All, Just went on my first Hog Hunt in Texas. What a wonderful trip, we took the Benjamin Bulldog Taurus and it was extremely effective. Thanks to Brian at Veradium Air we were able to get a 1/2 groups at 50 yards. I will be doing further testing at distance but this version of the bulldog is extremely accurate, light, and compact (for in the blind). Brian has other versions but so far this is the most powerful averaging 360-380 ft lbs. Here is an example of what the 185 grain Mr. Hollowpoint slug looked like after we shot my first pig.
It was quite mangled and the pig did not go anywhere just straight down. The hunt was at Adrenaline Bow Hunts in Sequin Texas which has just opened up for Air Gun hunts (previously only bows). Amenities include 6 bunks (currently lodge under construction)bath and shower, cooking facilities, and laundry facilities. The hunt can be tailored to your needs either hands on by the owner or he can set you loose to hunt on your own. Four wheel drive electric buggies are provided and you can locate stands via an app and cleaning facilities are provided as shown in the pictures. I cant say enough about how we were treated during our 2 day stay, this is a family run business and they treat you like one of their own. I would not hesitate to book another hunt, in fact there is a group of us going out there around March of next year.
