These two groups shot at 39 yards 25 cal JSP 34 gr MK!! . First group was shot "holding on" the center dot. It was so good I had to shoot the second aiming at the lowest red dot. I'm going to tell you that I pulled one shot on the second group (don't you hate it when guys say that? ) I might have but the last shot was just right of the first four. Either way that's about good enough isn't it? Just under 900 fps. I'll have to find a time to go to the range and shoot at 100 yards. That will separate the men from the boys.

I have been shooting the gun at some of those shoot to reset targets which I think are at about 10 yards. I didn't want to change my scope. Interesting enough at my pigeon shooting spot 68 yards I have to come DOWN about 8 MOA's. I have a scope mounted pretty high (well REAL high) above the barrel. I need to figure where the pellet is crossing the line of sight. I was pretty surprised the I had to come down at 68 yards. Really need to know that because I've got another pigeon place and I'm a lot closer (and the pigeons a lot smarter as well). I'm lucky to get more then one shot. I'm new at this and it seems if they can't see you your OK. At that second spot when I got the gun out and just pointed it at them they flew off. Now that could be coincidence but they do learn.

I guess I could play with my ballistics program and figure it out pretty close.

You might want to try this, set your near zero at 20 yards. Shooting at 885 the second zero is 45-46 yards. I'm using UTG medium mounts. This shoots about 3/4" high in your mid ranges say 35-38 yards. you have a 1 3/4" at 5 yards 1" at 10 yards and 1/2 inch at 15 yard holdover. I initially had the gun shooting at 920, the second zero was about 60-61 yards, the mid ranges had about a 1 3/4" high trajectory. For me it was easy to screw up the hold under at those 35-50 yard shots. This is using a 30 mm tube scope, coincidentally it works out almost identical with a standard 22 Cricket with the same scope and mounts.

Good lookin' groups Bubbler. Love those Crickets!

I zero all mine at 28 yds. Of course I rarely shoot past 55 yds.

I've found on most of my guns that 28 yds is pretty close to the top of the arc of the pellet flight. That way I don't have to worry about hold unders, and just deal with hold overs with that set up.

Enjoy that new gal. Looking forward to more of what she can do!
