I suppose the title is a little misleading, because in my formative years I have killed plenty of small game with 177 and 22 cal multipumps and CO2 guns, but this was my first kill with my Hatsan Flash QE 25, and man does it hit unlike anything I've used before. I topped it with a Bushnell Rimfire Optics 3-12x40 with side parallax adjustment scope, which is a very nice scope for the money, and have it sighted in at 20 yards with H&N 30.86 grain Barracudas. Squirrels usually hang out in my yard about 20 yards from my back door by a brush pile. One was unlucky today and took one of those pellets right to the dome, and I must say, this 25 cal made it look like it just took a Mike Tyson left hook. I got this gun mostly for back yard/suburban hunting, but it might replace my 22 rifle when I head into the squirrel woods. Pretty incredible and I'm hooked.
