first 60yd shots today

Had some time to kill before I had to go to work tonight and before the sun started to set so I fueled the beast and hung out in the window for a little bit. I put a few of the K-cups that never get used(like years old) out in the field at a measured 62yds and had at it. Looking up at my shooting window I was thinking I was at 50(ish) and was KIND of close, so that's cool.

I was shooting with my brother in law Jedediah, so it was a perfect opportunity to wander outside to hear how loud the rifle is to the neighbors and I can gladly say, it isn't! All you can hear really is a small "poof" noise from 40ft and then the report when you hit target which is much louder than the noise from the rifle. You wouldn't know what was going on if you heard it and it certainly wouldn't "bother" anybody.

My first few shots landed right at the base of the K-cups and then after that it was on. Jedediah had the exact same routine. We are going to start sticking Qtips out at that distance and beyond and see what we can do because those K-cups got easy pretty quick.

I am super impressed with the Krosa. I know 60 isn't anything special, but it's the furthest I've taken it so far and it's lasers. I have to have at least 2500-3000 rounds through my springer and I don't think I've ever hit 7 shots in a row that size at 40yds! I didn't count shots, but from what I remember we collectively shot 5-6 mags and could have done at least another 3-4 before having to fill. I definitely didn't notice any POI change at the distance we were shooting towards the end of our shooting.

either way I'm super excited and plan on having an awesome shooting day tomorrow. We plan on shooting at least a tin of 500.

Hot dog Ryan, Sounds like you and your Krosa survived last weeks tumble in tact? Glad to hear you're shooting already.
Time to buy some spinner targets ;-) I have Steelplinkers set all over my back yard.
Yes let me enable you to spend some more of your hard earned money! LOL
I've got 2 quadrant targets. Ben will make custom kill zone size if you require it. I have one in 1/2" and one in 3/4"

And the Dueling tree sounds like it would be good friendly competition for you and Jedediah ;-)

I've been wanting to get one of these myself.

I've got three of the resetable targets and they are really nice.

Peace and Steel Plinker Grease

After all the excitement I forgot to check back on that. I ended up just spraining it real bad. Was worried I fractured the Distal Ulna, but I'm good! Still have a brace for another week though. but it's my left hand, so it's not horrible.

I ended up having to replace my scope of all things as I broke the crosshairs? the lines were both off kilter, but everything seems to be OK with the rifle. I still hear that noise, but now that it shoots fine I don't think it's a problem (or I didn't notice it before hand)

the rifle is far more rugged than I am it would appear 😂

I think the Dueling tree is an absolute must! Jedediah will like that indeed. It's ok though Jimmy, I COULD be spending this money on some lame hobby that didn't involve getting to shoot stuff!

I try try and upload pics to my photobucket and then here, but it just didn't seem to want to convert. I'll get some links up of our next shoot. We may try video (lord help me 😇)

Thanks for the recommendation Jimmy!

Swing360- (and everyone) If you haven't already, be sure to get in on the give-away I'm doing in SWAG section. I was inspired to do so after a having some friends over for a fun shoot here- I have about the same targets in the giveaway out on my plinking range. We had a blast, the dueling tree is a pellet magnet for sure, everyone should have one :D Heck even for just single shooter plinking, the unusual "snap" of the paddles just seems to beg for pellets- I've gone through an alarming amount of my CPL stash this year so far.
