Finally got the trouble maker!!!

The litte s.o.b has been digging under my pole barn all summer long and when I would see him he was always very cautious when out it the open and take off running at the first signs of movement ,it's been really frustrating trying to get a shot at him....until this morning ,was walking past the sliding glass door that leads to our upstairs deck( a favorite shooting position of mine) and some unusual movement catches my eye along the hedge row.so I grab my range finder and FX Boss and slowly move out on to the deck,92 yds,was just shooting at 100 yds a couple days before so I knew right where my holder over would be,lined up the shot, couple of deep breaths and squeeze....dropped him in his tracks.thats the longest shot at a pest that I have taken with the Boss and it packed quite a punch even at almost 100 yds .needless to say his digging days are over, and mine have begun, got to go fill in all the holes in my in and around my barn.

"Nappyman"Nice job, was that a heart/lung shot?
Well , I was aiming for the head ,but as I took the shot he bent his head down and the pellet entered through his back at a downward angle (I was on the second story ) and went through heart and lungs, he sure dropped like a head shot, maybe got the spinal cord going through, he twitched for 5 seconds before he expired .

I thank the FX Boss is a 30 cal. Nice shot, boy do those things stink. We been thanking about getting 30 cal or bigger. I need to sale some powder burners, got some we have not fired in thirty years. We can deer hunt in Alabama with a 30 cal or bigger, just don't thank thank the 30 cal would take one with a nick shoot, would have to be an ear shoot.

"Airgnconvert"That's some good shooting. I bet you were pretty excited bout gettin that digger! I would be.
Thanks!! Yes I was fired up,any time I make a good clean kill I get exited, but this guy was was making a mess of of my property an getting away with it for a while,so there was a little extra fist pump when it was all over, lol

i have a .308 quackenbush, not allowed for deer hunting in mass, but it puts a 96 grain mrhollowpoint clean thru a fridge front to back at 50 yards, sure it would stop a deer with a neck shot

"jland48"Good shooting! Been real interested in Boss .30. I know one is in my future, Just hope they don't get much more expensive. We have problem armadillos here in Texas. They root like small hogs and dig awful holes.
I was on the fence between the Boss or .30 cal bobcat and since I have a wildcat I went for the Boss, and could not be happier,it is just a sweet shooting gun,I can shoot one hole groups at 75yds all day long,I highly recommend it. Don't know much about armadillos,do they have a hard shell like coating? You might need a 30 cal.
